Silvermere Special Activities

We run regular fun activities to help keep the horses and riders on their toes.

Children

Both children and teens can become Pony Club Members. Please see a member of staff for an application form.

This is a great way to build confidence and allow the kids to build on their riding skills.

Easter Egg Hunt

Imagine riding around and having to find chocolate eggs hidden around.  The kids absolutely love it but don't forget to bring a change of clothes as somehow they end up with chocolate around their chops.

Christmas and New Year rides

This is well worth a look. During the festive season we put on some very enjoyable rides with mince pies and mulled wine.

Bank Holiday hacks

Our bank holiday hacks get booked up fast so get in quick to make sure we have space and a horse for you.

Dressage and Showjumping clinics

We run regular training clinics, where we will bring in a specialist to train you in your preferred discipline. That could be showjumping or dressage.

Gymkhana

For those of you that have never done a gymkhana, imagine picking up flags, stuffing them in cones, zig zagging in and out of poles, jumping on and off your pony and trying to beat someone else to the finish line.  These days are brilliant fun and a great way to make friends.

Stable management

Are you considering taking some professional exams in stable management. We can run courses that build your knowledge on all aspects of horsemanship including grooming, feeding, horse care and much more.

Exam training

As a BHS registered yard we run BHS Stage 1 and Stage 2 training courses.

Pub rides

Fancy a ride and a beer. We have quite a few pubs nearby and we start off by having a light hack, followed by a horseback visit to the pubs on route. We don't believe in drink riding so we also provide a packet of crips so soak up any alcohol.

Video workshops

This is a superb way to see what you look like when you are onboard. For many of us we hear the instructor shouting out instructions and we think we have done what is asked. So why do we still not quite get the results.  Film it and you will see exactly what your instructor can see.
